Glorious Greens

Big Tree - Old Barn
Ashfield, Massachusetts
There is some beautiful scenery off the beaten path.

Old Stone Wall
Ashfield, Massachusetts
This stone wall surrounds an old cemetery.

Don't Fence Me In
Ashfield, Massachusetts

I would have loved to have followed the path into the pasture.

The stone wall is a beautiful composition but I was really intrigued by the promise of the path into the pasture. Just begging for a rider on horseback.

Hi Sunny

each of these three shots is evocative and entrancing...

Who were the people long gone who built the barn, the wall and the fence...
I love the open gate, it invites you in...

Happy days

The tree in the first shot looks so majestic and massive. The barn is dwarfed by it. Really great photos.

I have a thing about gates, wondering what lies on the other side. I liked all the pictures though, the tree by the barn is a neat.

All three of those photos are wonderful. You have a great eye for good composition. That tree must be very old. I like the weathered wood and paths also. Have a good day.

Sunny...that is one gorgeous tree and the barn too! As you know I am a sucker for trees and barns! I also like your other pics as well. Your images are truly New Englandy...is that a word? A place I have never been to (other than Boston) but must go someday.

Hi Sunny! Thankyou for posting these beautiful pictures. As you probably know, this is the hardest tie of year for me...I love the country...specially in the Fall !

I'm even going to make my next vacation for "in the country" in Tenneesee..... I want to see the horses running, the farms, the barns, and to wear my sweatshirts and jeans, sweaters and slacks...

I think I have to wait until next year for a nice vacation to the country, though.
