Bad Hair Day

It was almost the end of the day, and I had taken
a different road home...

as I came over the crest of the hill, I spotted these
two cows munching on a bale of hay...

As far as I know, these are Galloways, one of
the oldest breeds known and believed to have originated
in the Highlands of Scotland.

They were both extremely cute with their unruly locks.
Photographed in Shelburne, Massachusetts

This is one of the worst cases of 'bad hair day' that I've seen. Actually, I'm just jealous since I no longer have enough hair for a 'bad hair day'!

Don't see those kind around here. Must not be fore meat. The most unusual ones I've seen are they belted Galloways (black and white) and a longhorn or two. Once saw a Watutsi cow though I'm not sure what you'd do with them. They are huge and their horns even bigger.

Alas, even when I'm having a 'good hair' day my curls aren't as cute as this. Love these shots. So glad you took a different road.

They are cute in a strange sort of way. I have never heard of or seen this breed. That one was sure giving you a look.

They look so lovely, curls and all.
It used to be my job to take care of the sick calves on the farm growing up, I always thought they had such beautiful, soulful eyes.

Wow, i've only seen Belted Galloways till now, and in Galloway not Massachusetts. These look like they have a bit of Highland in them. They're lovely!
