I'm always a sucker for cat photos. This one really tickled me, Sunny. Double the pleasure! 'Listening for the scurry of tiny feet'...great. I suspect they were also trying to get their daily dose of sunlight through those windows.
How cute! I love mousers because they're like pets that actually work for their keep. My cat is too lazy to kill mice. He'd rather share his food with them - he knows there's always more where that came from! ;o)
Excellent capture, Sunny. Two cats posing so beautifully. What a bargain that they're mousers as well. Thanks for always visiting my blog. (((Hugs))) Jo
For me there is something really nice about a cat in a window. Maybe it's because I love cats. The old windows and red paint just makes this picture nicer.
I take a picture of almost every cat in a window that I see. I'm sure they will become a post someday.
From the shores of New England to the Oregon coast, I would like to share some of the places that I've been and things that I've seen.
As we travel you may notice; there is an emphasis on Massachusetts...my home state, you will see a lot of barns...that I love, whether old, new or dilapidated, we are not traveling in any particular direction, and we may visit some places more than once.
Please enjoy my American Photo Journey and your comments are welcomed!
YOU MAY CLICK ON ANY PICTURE TO ENLARGE IT.
The photo in the title...
features the Far Away Farm in Ashfield, Massachusetts.
I was born in my grandmother's old mill house in Cornwall, England and came to the USA with my parents in 1958. My Dad was in the RAF and as a child I lived in many different locations in England and even the Rock of Gibraltar.
Massachusetts has always been home in the US except for a brief period when I resided in Idaho, giving me a chance to explore the Great American West. For nearly 30 years I lived on Cape Cod before my husband and I moved back to the mountains* of Massachusetts with our Goldendoodle Lucy, and our cats, Lilly and Molly. I am also the mother of a grown son.
*Some of you would call them hills but they're mountains to me!

How charming! Nothing says "cozy" like a cat in a sunfilled window!
Cute!
Hi Sunny
these posing cats look like statues at the windows...
Happy days
Nice photograph. For some reason I think those cats have enjoyed many meals in that barn.
Those mice don't have a chance. They look prosperous for barn cats.

I know I see two, but it looks like a third cat lying down in the first window...seems to be some ears on that dark shadow!
oh Sunny what a cute shot, how lucky you are to find those little cats!
Fabulous post, and I liked a lot your words!

and Mousers they are! great shot, made me smile. makes the photo charming to have the old barn and the cats.
I love it, Sunny! I love how each cat has its own window and they're looking out. Love your verse. Watch out, mousies!

I love cats and old barns. How sweet to see cats in windows "waiting patiently" for their meal.
I would mind sitting in those windows and wait for...well anything but a rodent for dinner. Nice capture, Sunny. You have a great eye!
be well, be happy :D
How cute. Every barn needs one or two mousers.
Love the photo...
The one on the left looks like MY cat. I had to do a double take on that!
Lovely, as always
:-)

And I love your caption as well.

Wonderful, whimsical photo! I wish my cat would catch more mice and fewer innocent little birds.
Sweet shot of the cats. I have a mouser that I aquired along with the campground. She has gotten pretty lazy since I feed her.....

Cats and Barns...two great things that go great together!!
Great shot Sunny!
This is a great picture. The cats look very content, soI would say that the mice in that barn are well-controlled.
A fantastic photo Sunny, love those kitties in the windows.
Those are smart kitties perching up high so they can see their pray coming.
Whar a cute kitty post. They look as thought they were waiting for you to take their picture.
Love it, Paws for thought.
