Thank You

"Freedom is Never Free"
~Author Unkown
To all who served and who are serving my heartfelt
gratitude and respect.
Thank You.

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch, be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
~Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae

The cote "Freedom is never free" is so touching...Beautiful homage and post!
So sorry to know about your father in law and your uncle.
So sorry about all fathers, brothers, sons, and so on...man and woman, people that lose your lives, your smile, your happiness...but they've never lose the faith.

I have the highest respect for veterans especially those who fought wars. Thankfully the war was cold when I was in the navy.
I like seeing those old war veterans proudly wearing their WWII, Korean and Veitnam war ballcaps.

Great post.
