The Wild Life

Backyard Bear
Ashfield, Massachusetts
This is not the best quality of picture, it was taken through the window screen. Mama bear and two cubs...the cubs are in the ferns and difficult to see.

Wild Turkey Family
Plainfield, Massachusetts
Baby turkeys are called poults, I counted nine before they headed for the high grass. Tom Turkey was there too but out of camera range.

Prairie Dog
Devil's Tower Prairie Dog Town, Wyoming
There were dozens of Prairie Dogs in this area, unfortunately they were a lot faster getting into their burrows than I was with my camera!

Shop 'Til You Drop!

Cinnamon Sticks and Candlewicks
Route 28, West Dennis, Massachusetts
Located on lovely Cape Cod, this wonderful country and primitives store is truly worthy of my entire blog for today. I really don't sing the praises of too many shops but having recently re-visited CSCW, I can't help but share this gem of a store.

This family run business has an exquisite variety of furnishings for just about every room in your house. The owners are so helpful and go out of their way to accommodate your decorating needs.

Many items can be acquired through their website, and if you're ever on Cape Cod, do yourself a favor and check out this unique shop. Oh...and don't forget to ask about the "Captain"!
