Freight Wait

Freight Train
Florida, Massachusetts

Having just passed through the Hoosac Tunnel,
considered one of the most haunted places
in Massachusetts, I wondered if there were
any ghostly hitchhikers onboard.

our frieght trains here definitely mean Wait! sometimes it takes up to 10 minutes to pass by to Tropicana, the orange juice place. Plenty of time for ghosties to climb aboard.

I just read the other post from the Hoosac Tunnel, very interesting! I wonder if Jason & Grant from Ghost Hunters would find any evidence if they investigated the place!

I don't believe in ghost stories. But the idea of ghost-hitchhykers is really funny!

My Dad worked for the railroad in VA--so growing up, I saw lots and lots of freight trains... I have always wondered 'who' might be riding on those trains.... SCARY!!!! ha

Hugs,
Betsy

I get into trouble with the amtrack in Osceola every time I go down there to work. One time there were car after car of army tanks, headed West. A hundred or more as their were two on each car. Osceola has a tunnel, so I try to remember to take it as to not get stalled.

You know there are ghosts there.

I also wonder how the tunnel got to be considered haunted. There has to be a great story behind that reputation.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks so much for stopping by.

During the construction of the Hoosac Tunnel 193 lives were lost, it is said the spirits of some of those those men are trapped in the tunnel.

I'm not sure if Ghost Hunters ever investigated the tunnel. I think Ghost Adventures did.

A while back I did a post on the tunnel, if you click on Hoosac Tunnel in this post, it will take you there.

Thanks for all your comments.
Sunny :)
