The Gingerbread House

Maple Street
Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts

The elaborate gingerbread detailing on this Gothic Revival house lends a true meaning to 'Home Sweet Home', and I admire it everytime I drive by.

Dating back to 1868, the home has been painstakingly restored over the past 26 years. It has been featured on several TV shows including 'New England Dream House.'

I've never seen such a design, it is beautiful, but unusual with it's twin peaks.

Love these kind of houses. My favorite town in California is Ferndale which is up on the far north coast near Oregon. The entire town is made up of houses and buildings like this.

Hello Sunny,

I was born and grew up in Devon. I have many fond memories of Cornwall.

I now live in Western Ma and also call these hills mountains.

I have driven by this house many times and sometimes stop to admire it's beauty.

Thanks for posting it on your site.
