Moe, Larry And CurlyThis trio was very interested in the crazy lady with a camera.
WallaceOne of my favorite subjects to photograph, as you may have concluded, are farm animals, and living in a rural area, photo opportunities present themselves fairly often. There is an abundance of cows and horses but my very favorite...sheep are not as plentiful. So you can imagine my excitement, the other day, when I came across a huge flock of willing participants.
The jackets that they are wearing are not for warmth but designed to protect their fleece.
These photos were taken in Shelburne, Massachusetts.
I have no idea if the sheep really have names, I just named them!

Sunny, they are so cute. I didn't know they put the little coats on them.
Oh I just love them all, especially Ethel and Maude. You are a card, Sunny! I also never knew sheep had coats. Thanks for a cheerful post.
Great shots Sunny, I have never seen those blankets on them before)
They are all adorable.I loved the idea about those warm stuffs and your creative names for them! LOL
It was funny and the pictures so cool!

I was so busy looking at their 'mufflers' I didn't notice the coats. I think the first picture is great, I swear the sheep nearest the camera is smiling.
I have always had a soft spot in my heart for sheep. I just don't know what it is I love about them. When we were in Ireland last summer I loved seeing them all over the place. They painted them pink and blue to figure out whose were whose as they let them roam pretty free.
I love those faces.
I've never stared directly into a sheep's face before, Sunny, didn't realize it was so bare and had a slight human quality to it!
I love this, Sunny! I love Ethel and Maude chatting in the top pic!
I think you picked out some excellent names for these sheep Sunny! They are very photogenic too.
Awesome shots Sunny!
Doesn't matter if the coats are for warmth or not...those look like some comfy toasty sheep!
They really are great looking animals. I love their hairdos and their sweaters. :)
Great shots! I think you may be onto something - driving around taking pictures of other people's farm animals ;-). Just kidding kids...sorta.
Very cute - Baaa to the sheep.
*GASP* Sheeeepiees! I would love to get a chance to photograph these lovies!
They are sheep in... sheep's clothing! LOL!
These are all excellent shots. I have not seen sheep with these protective covers.
I love these shots, especially Ethel and Maude. It looks like they were having a good gossip.
Sunny...these are beautiful sheep and you captured great detail in your pics.

Ah, ok, I understand about the jackets now, I was really wondering about that. They have a LOT more wool than my mom's sheep - obviously a different breed! I just love these shots w/ them all bundled up! heheheee
Glad I came over -I love the close ups of the sheep!
Thanks for my morning snicker, Sunny. I love their cool coats...
You have captured these darling animals so beautifully Sunny. They are adorable photographs.
Brilliant Sunny. They actually all look so different in character.
great faces they have a lot of character!
I love sheep faces.
These are great photos, it is like they stopped and posed for you. They may have coats on to protect their fleece but sure do look snug and warm too. Thank you for sharing these wonderful furry faces! I appreciate you joining us for 'Face of the Week'! Thank you.
