I came across a small herd of cattle in the little townof Heath, Massachusetts. I'm not sure of the breed.
The trio pictured here were quite interested
in what I was doing and almost posed for the camera.
Cow With BlingDon't you love his chain and gold tipped horn?
They had the most striking eyes with long lashes, and the snow and cold weather didn't seem to bother them.

What a human friends trio of cows. It's snowing like crazy here, too. Sunny, it would be fun to meet up and take photos together sometime.
What a photogenic herd! I love the eyelashes!
Oh Sunny they are so precious! MOO! Whenever I see cows I have this compelling urge to MOOOO! lol
What lovely photos, Sunny. I love the "cow" eyes...
With eyelashes like that they all have to be ladies.
They are beautiful and I think they were posing for you!
The top one looks like she wants to go to California. They are all cute ladies. Have you ever seen the California cows tv commercial?
They were so funny and there were dozens of them.
California Cows.
More California Cows.
Beautiful photos. They have such lovely characteristics.
They are kinda cute - if a cow can be cute. The middle one reminds me of Elsie - the Borden Milk cow. I suppose its a boy though - hope he doesn't get offended that he looks like a girl.
You should have asked him if you could borrow his fur coat for the winter. Maybe he would through in some of his Bling also. You would be the talk of the town, Sunny.
You photos are absolutely stunning, my friend :)
Enclosed please find sunshine and warm weather...
Hi Sunny, Didn't you tell those cows to say "CHEESE"?????? ha
Love the next post showing the boat to nowhere... Guess not--until spring, huh????
AND--your Valentine chip is awesome!!!!
Hugs
Betsy
What we want to to get interesting pictures for our blogs. These old cows look like they were posing just for you.
The middle one looks especially feminine!
You came across a very photogenic herd. These are wonderful portraits of these cows.
Each one has its own expression. Makes me wish I could read their minds...
Mug shots? These are lovely formal portraits. Great shots but I have to ask, How close were you to these fine anaimals? They are terrific shots.
Cold up there?? Any snow? LOL!
What sweet, pretty cows!!
Do cows have horns ..... cows are the females, right and bulls would be male? I could be wrong.
Hi Everyone,
Thank you for your comments.
James ~ I love the California cow commercials, in fact I even voted for my favorite! These cows were all white, the Cali cows are black and white but have similar faces.
Frank ~ I was pretty close, separated by two wire electric fence. I got a little nervous when they all headed my way as I was in pretty deep snow, so a quick get away may not have worked!
Kathy ~ with some breeds of cattle, both the female and male have horns. There were about 8 head all together and I think there was a mixture of male and females. Cows are female, bulls are male and steer are castrated males.
Sunny :)
Love them Sunny, well done, the first one is my fave. Number three looks like she has a cold nose:o)
You know I love cows, and these are beautiful. thanks
