Mug Shots

I came across a small herd of cattle in the little town
of Heath, Massachusetts. I'm not sure of the breed.
The trio pictured here were quite interested
in what I was doing and almost posed for the camera.

Cow With Bling
Don't you love his chain and gold tipped horn?

They had the most striking eyes with long lashes,
and the snow and cold weather didn't seem to bother them.

What a human friends trio of cows. It's snowing like crazy here, too. Sunny, it would be fun to meet up and take photos together sometime.

With eyelashes like that they all have to be ladies.

They are beautiful and I think they were posing for you!

The top one looks like she wants to go to California. They are all cute ladies. Have you ever seen the California cows tv commercial?
They were so funny and there were dozens of them.

California Cows.

More California Cows.

They are kinda cute - if a cow can be cute. The middle one reminds me of Elsie - the Borden Milk cow. I suppose its a boy though - hope he doesn't get offended that he looks like a girl.

You should have asked him if you could borrow his fur coat for the winter. Maybe he would through in some of his Bling also. You would be the talk of the town, Sunny.
You photos are absolutely stunning, my friend :)

Enclosed please find sunshine and warm weather...

Do cows have horns ..... cows are the females, right and bulls would be male? I could be wrong.

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for your comments.
James ~ I love the California cow commercials, in fact I even voted for my favorite! These cows were all white, the Cali cows are black and white but have similar faces.
Frank ~ I was pretty close, separated by two wire electric fence. I got a little nervous when they all headed my way as I was in pretty deep snow, so a quick get away may not have worked!
Kathy ~ with some breeds of cattle, both the female and male have horns. There were about 8 head all together and I think there was a mixture of male and females. Cows are female, bulls are male and steer are castrated males.

Sunny :)
