Reflections Of Summer

Icy Harbor
Woods Hole, Massachusetts

Somewhere frozen in the brine
Sweet memories of the summertime,
When sun was warm and days carefree
Our little boat upon the sea.

But now we're held in winter's hand
That keeps us safe upon the land,
Then ice will melt and days grow long
And again we'll sing our summer song!

Yippee a reflection! I love water reflections. This is really nice and your poems are always so clever. That water sure looks cold.

Dear Sunny
Wow these reflections are magnificent, so perfect and the words fit very well with this post.
It's amazing that ice and the bot stuck in it!

Great shot.

I'm just thinking about all the work it is going to take to get those outboard motors going again.

These boats are eagerly awaiting spring time. They have their motors at the ready, for the first fishing venture. Great photo.

The water is so glassy and captures the shadows and reflections really well. Very pretty. You almost wouldn't know it's winter, well, except for the snow.

Great composition and reflections.

Excellent photo with a strong composition. You might try cropping a bit from the top to isolate the two white boats to make your excellent image even better.
