The birds are not happy that Saint Francis is holding almost two feet of snow instead of birdseed. To see him during a previous storm, please click here.
He looks cold. :) I'm ready for Spring too. I prefer Winter to Summer but I've had enough for now. I would like to see Saint Francis in another season with a link back to this post for comparison.
Aawww he's certainly covered in snow... That's a LOT of snow ! I'm even throwing the seed on the ground at this point, at least they know where to look. The mourning doves seem to appreciate that.
what a difference in the two photos, in today's pic we cannot see his face. I like to see his face better than 2 feet of snow. that is a lot of snow to still be hanging around when it is almost march.
You are really getting hit hard with this snow. We are so severely cold but hasn't snowed for three days. I still walk on a 14 inch base of snow when I go out to fill bird feeders. I hope you still have electricity.
Hi Sunny, St. Francis usually syas "make me an instrument of thy peace..... And we are born to eternal life". Bet his prayer is not that one now... He's probably praying for LESS SNOW... Ya think????? ha
We're having a wonderful time in Arkansas--but it's passing by too quickly. The weather has been great considering the fact that it is snowing at home.
Oh, Sunny, it's soooo beautiful out there and I can't get out in it. I'm looking forward to your lens and your legs doing the walking and clicking for me.
From the shores of New England to the Oregon coast, I would like to share some of the places that I've been and things that I've seen.
As we travel you may notice; there is an emphasis on Massachusetts...my home state, you will see a lot of barns...that I love, whether old, new or dilapidated, we are not traveling in any particular direction, and we may visit some places more than once.
Please enjoy my American Photo Journey and your comments are welcomed!
YOU MAY CLICK ON ANY PICTURE TO ENLARGE IT.
The photo in the title...
features the Far Away Farm in Ashfield, Massachusetts.
I was born in my grandmother's old mill house in Cornwall, England and came to the USA with my parents in 1958. My Dad was in the RAF and as a child I lived in many different locations in England and even the Rock of Gibraltar.
Massachusetts has always been home in the US except for a brief period when I resided in Idaho, giving me a chance to explore the Great American West. For nearly 30 years I lived on Cape Cod before my husband and I moved back to the mountains* of Massachusetts with our Goldendoodle Lucy, and our cats, Lilly and Molly. I am also the mother of a grown son.
*Some of you would call them hills but they're mountains to me!

I'm sure Saint Francis, the birds and I know, me, we're all tired of this snow already. LOL
Boy! You weren't a'kidding! Your sir Francis looks a bit, er, under the weather. (Grin)
Wonderful photo--Ah, I do wish for some snow--and this, even with the pink flowers filling the fruit trees just now. (sigh)

I love your St Francis. I was quite surprised when I saw him uncovered. How delightful!
Them birds need to hold on a little longer

Gosh, the amount of snow you're having. Poor St Francis looks a bit lost.
