Most of the snow has been replaced by that dreary color 'twixt winter and spring, the wind's icy bite turned cheeks red and the clouds hung heavy overhead. It was a gray day in the valley.
Hi Sunny just caught up with your last few posts, three great pics there I like the winter storm shot very atmospheric. It looks like the snow is disappearing in the last post. It's snowing here this morning although its very wet stuff.
It may be gray but it is still gorgeous to these old eyes. The promise of spring will soon be heard on the winds... and replace the icy bite of winter. Be warm, be happy Sunny.
Right now I would love to see something besides all of this snow covered ground. We've had our yards covered for about two weeks now, and with all there is to melt, unless temps get a little warmer, it's going to be around for a while. Happy week-end.
Hi Sunny, Well---gray may be better than too much snow. Ya think???? We finally have had some warmer weather and sunshine here... It's definitely a spring-tease for us!!!
Hope you have a great weekend and week ahead. We are headed to Arkansas tomorrow. Hugs, Betsy
From the shores of New England to the Oregon coast, I would like to share some of the places that I've been and things that I've seen.
As we travel you may notice; there is an emphasis on Massachusetts...my home state, you will see a lot of barns...that I love, whether old, new or dilapidated, we are not traveling in any particular direction, and we may visit some places more than once.
Please enjoy my American Photo Journey and your comments are welcomed!
YOU MAY CLICK ON ANY PICTURE TO ENLARGE IT.
The photo in the title...
features the Far Away Farm in Ashfield, Massachusetts.
I was born in my grandmother's old mill house in Cornwall, England and came to the USA with my parents in 1958. My Dad was in the RAF and as a child I lived in many different locations in England and even the Rock of Gibraltar.
Massachusetts has always been home in the US except for a brief period when I resided in Idaho, giving me a chance to explore the Great American West. For nearly 30 years I lived on Cape Cod before my husband and I moved back to the mountains* of Massachusetts with our Goldendoodle Lucy, and our cats, Lilly and Molly. I am also the mother of a grown son.
*Some of you would call them hills but they're mountains to me!

love the buildings, but the sky is the Real Picture. great shot
There are no gray days when you're at the helm, Sunny.
It's so nice, I think soon we will see a beautiful green around this place!
Léia :)
I remember that color...the one that makes you want to rush from March until May!
I like how the color of the sky is similar to the color of the barn and silos.
We don't have too many cupola's on barns here in OK.

You are very talented. Great photographer, and you have a way with words "Silver tongue".
Hi Sunny, September in South Africa always displays the same dreary brown and burnt-out black look. Beautiful photo. I love your blog.

You should enter this beautiful sky scene on Sky Watch Friday. A lovely shot.
It looks cloudy & blue to me, it's a great sky day!
