Interesting information. One day I hope to see a turkey in the wild, not just on my sandwich with ranch dressing!
Your title and image makes me smile!
Sorry you're hurt Sunny. I fell on the ice too and still haven't recovered my knee. Turkeys are my favorite fowl. They are so curious and have wonderful personalities.
....and you aren't talking turkey, are you!!? Any idea where that phrase came from: 'talking turkey'? I think turkeys (and chickens) (and all birds!!) are great...thanks for sharing that info about them!
Have a great day, Cat
You've caught him in mid-trot. How's the back today?
Enjoyed the turkey information, we certainly have our share of turkeys here, sometimes as many as 30 in the field.
I had no idea they had so many feathers. I am not a fan of turkeys. I was attacked by a very large white turkey gobbler at 8 years old. it shredded my beautiful Easter dress my grandmother made for me, literally hangin in shreds. i can still hear and feel those wings beating and the spurs ripping. that was more than half century ago and I still don't like them.
sorry to hear your back is still acting up. back problems are very hard to get rid of. take care and don't worry about us bloggers. we will not forget you.
Gobble Gobble, Sunny.... He's a cutie!!!!! When we were with a friend near Kingsport, TN ----we were out searching for waterfalls (of course)--and came upon a bunch of wild turkeys. They stopped and looked at us and we stopped and looked at them... They were so pretty but I'm sure those turkeys wanted us to move ON and leave them alone!!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
