The weather turned to drearyAfter a teasing day of spring
When suddenly the sun came out
And I heard a robin sing
I looked out the kitchen window
As he hopped from ground to tree
Dressed in his red breast glory
He sang again for me
I couldn't help but smile
He made blue skies out of grey
With his welcomed chirping message
That Spring is here to stay

Aww, how lovely! :)
Great shot of a beautiful bird Sunny, we had one turn up at Godrevy a few years ago which gave some great views and caused a birding stampede into Cornwall from all over the UK.
very nice.
I believe Spring is here to stay for me too, Sunny. Your poem made me smile, a rather big one too!
Great poem, great photo. Thanks
well this little guy gave me my morning chuckle. he looks like he is yelling at someone about something. precious and oh so cute.
Another beautiful poem to go with this lovely photo. Have a great week Sunny :)
He's a pretty one!
How inspiring!!
Oh, wow. You got a good shot of this guy! I love being able to see him close up. I love your poem too! It's rainy here today, but I can still here the birds chirping.
Help me - is this an American robin? Whatever he is, he certainly looks perky in the spring sunshine.
People love to see Robins in early spring... They are telling all of us that Spring REALLY is coming....
Great picture.
Hugs,
Betsy
What a beautiful post my friend.
sunny; we too saw a multitude of Robins, now gone, almost. Every thing has buds and blooms now, and Spring is about to explode. I dread the hot weather that follows spring, but The world laughs in flowers.
Like the poem, and I love hearing Robins doing their little chirping.
It is a gooooooood thing. May the robin just keep boobing along.
That's a nice looking little fellow and I love the poem.
I always love to see the first Robins of spring and hear their songs. Sunny, I really like your poem.
I guess I meant bob bob bobbing along, not what I wrote. Ha!!!
Sunny...it looks like Spring is finally coming to New England! And none too soon I presume!
