Sure Signs Of Spring!

Spring heralds its arrival
In many special ways
Robins, tulips, daffodils
and lovely sunny days

Flowers and birds awaken
Like bears from winter's sleep
While many stores fill up their shelves with...
Marshmallow Peeps!

I must have had a bad experience with peeps as a kid because to this day I get sick to my stomach when I see them. However I do like Spring. :)

Lovely poem. I never thought of peeps as a sign of spring, but then again I am not a fan, so that may explain it.

Only one of my daughters will eat these and she'll only eat them when they're stale. Blech. But a fun shot and poem.

'SWEET' post Sunny!

A sign of spring for me is when the Bluebirds move into one of the nestboxes!

Any color, any shape but tend to be good for only a couple. Happy Easter!

Great picture!! Although looking at peeps automatically makes me feel stuffed! I remember eating them until I felt ill when I was a girl!

Did you write that, Sunny?

It took me a long time to figure out what those yellow things were... Thanks for telling us!!!!

I remember getting those for my sons' Easter baskets YEARS ago...

My great grandson gives me Peeps each Easter. They are much too sweet for me, I told him this year get a chocolate marshmallow egg.

I love Peeps and all the colors they now have them come in, use to be only yellow. I especially like them after they have been sitting out for a while and sort of dry out and becoming chewy. I know, I'm weird. LOL

These things are so cute! I don't know if I'd be able to eat one! I've never tried though. :o) (I don't think we have them in Canada - I could be wrong though!)

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for your 'sweet' comments.

James - I'm so sorry that my post made you ill, hope you didn't make a mess of your keyboard! ha-ha!

Tricia - If it has a ~SRD after it, I wrote it.

Patty - That's how I like my Peeps!

Thank you again for stopping by.
Sunny :)

They are so good to eat. That is one thing that was not around when I was young, but I am sure glad they are now. They melt in your mouth just like plain sugar, need I say more.

You know, I have just never got into peeps as a food. There are some web sites out there where they pose them though, and that's funny.
