No Need To Yell

...I heard you the first time!

'Mae' is an American Lamancha Goat. Being totally unfamiliar with this breed, a little 'Googling' was in order, and according to what I discovered; Lamanchas are perhaps the most distinctive goat breed easily recognizable by their very short ear pannae. They are also known for their high milk production and comparatively high buttermilk content in their milk. Lamanchas were first bred in Oregon in the early 1950's by Eula Fay Frey.

What a lovely girl! I love goats; had a sweet little girl goat that followed me around like a puppy and would even try to get in your lap.

Well - that's ineresting. I thought when I first looked at this photo, that his ears had gotten frozen.

How strange. They look as if they have suffered from a bit of an accident - clipping shears a bit too close to the ears.

I too thought the ears had gone with the shears... Poor little coat, I'm being very rude about him/her.

I don't think I have heard of this goat before. We have people who raise a lot of goats north of town and sell cheese everywhere. I will have to look up the web site and share it. I have never been out there.
