Yesterday was a day of severe weather warnings... thunder storms, hail and even tornadoes! Thankfully, we are safe and sound. Our thoughts are with those less fortunate.
Ahh Sunny, it's good to see you're back, albeit invisible, LOL! Take care and yes, we pray for those in less fortunate circumstances than ours. (((Hugs))) Jo
I thought of you when I saw the news of the tornado in Massachusetts. That must have been very scary indeed, and I'm glad to hear you're safe. The storms this year have taken a terrible toll.
Up here, we also had a few severe weather alerts, but nothing really happened. The sky's got rather nasty looking, but nothing came from it. Just some wind, but no rain or hail. There was a tornado watch in effect, but nothing happened with that either. I've never seen a tornado for real, and I don't think that I want to. I'd be heading for the nearest shelter myself!
Some pretty dramatic weather, wasn't it? Even up here in Brattleboro. I thought I might go for a walk in it and take photographs. Fortunately, Mr. Brattcat suggested in a rather compelling way that going out in it might not be my best idea of the day.
so happy to hear you are safe and sound. these tornadoes are terrifying even from down here in FL where we are now watching the maybe first hurricane way south of us
We had a storm that was a mile wide. We could see bright day light in both directions while this very dark cloud full of so much rain passed over. I have never seen that before now.
From the shores of New England to the Oregon coast, I would like to share some of the places that I've been and things that I've seen.
As we travel you may notice; there is an emphasis on Massachusetts...my home state, you will see a lot of barns...that I love, whether old, new or dilapidated, we are not traveling in any particular direction, and we may visit some places more than once.

The photo in the title...
features the Far Away Farm in Ashfield, Massachusetts.
I was born in my grandmother's old mill house in Cornwall, England and came to the USA with my parents in 1958. My Dad was in the RAF and as a child I lived in many different locations in England and even the Rock of Gibraltar.
Massachusetts has always been home in the US except for a brief period when I resided in Idaho, giving me a chance to explore the Great American West. For nearly 30 years I lived on Cape Cod before my husband and I moved back to the mountains* of Massachusetts with our Goldendoodle Lucy, and our cats, Lilly and Molly. I am also the mother of a grown son.
*Some of you would call them hills but they're mountains to me!

I hope you are okay. These storms are getting relentless. I would stay in the closet for awhile, if I were you.

Very frightening. I'm glad to hear that all is well with you.
Thank God you are safe. The weather conditions in your country are positively frightening. Hope you're fully recovered now.

Reminds me of a good part of my drive to California. I was wishing that I had a closet to hide in. :)
