beautiful. reminds me of being a kid and having to pull them off my socks after a long day exploring my grandparents pastures. Thank you for sharing _B
It's very beautiful ... but if we get caught with thistles on our property, we get a nasty letter telling us to get rid of them "or else"!!! (they're considered nuisance and invasive here).
I oftentimes sing that song at the top of my voice when I'm on my own of course :) Thistles are beautiful, but we try to eradicate them as soon as they pop up, they can be deadly to livestock. Hope all is well ! ~Jo
Note to you, Don't sweat the small stuff such as responding when your not up to it.. it doesn't bother the people that really care about you and how you are. I said it before and I'll say it again.. we'er not going anywhere and will never forget about you.. Miss sweet and funny, Sunny.
DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY and TAKE CARE.. that my friend is what matters most!!!
From the shores of New England to the Oregon coast, I would like to share some of the places that I've been and things that I've seen.
As we travel you may notice; there is an emphasis on Massachusetts...my home state, you will see a lot of barns...that I love, whether old, new or dilapidated, we are not traveling in any particular direction, and we may visit some places more than once.
Please enjoy my American Photo Journey and your comments are welcomed!

we haven't even met the first time, much less meeting again on the bonny, bonny banks of the Deerfield River.
A wild thistle has been allowed to grow in my back yard...lovely but sticky!
Thistles are quite wonderful thorns and all. I love the lovely purple bloom.
Love that song, Sunny.... Also love the thistle on the bonnie banks of a hay field in Massachusetts....
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy

Can't beat a fine field of thistle. Thanks for the wishes.

This is inspired text to go with your great picture of the thistle. The blossoms are pretty, but I still don't like them.
So pretty and delicate!
The tree line behind our place is a riot of pale purple as the thistle is everywhere. Love the DOF in this shot.
P.S. My mom is from Massachusetts... little town called Millis and she has a brother who still lives there.

Thistles are beautiful to look at but on my first encounter with one I came away with thorns in my hand.. Ouch, lesson learned!
I hope you are feeling better with each passing day.. always thinking of you.
hugs,
Pam

Love the photograph! Hope that you are well,

I like the purple color though when I am hiking, I don't like the prickles.
