Thanks to Donna from Gather for correcting me; yesterday's post was of a Guinea Fowl and not a turkey. So, today, with a slight 'glow' of embarrassment, I give you Tom Turkey.Happy Thanksgiving and please pass the cranberry sauce.

He's a handsome bird either way.
I bet if you were to photograph the guinea fowl today he'd have a huge smile on his face !!
Poor Tom :-)
Phew Sunny! So yesterday's bird has a reprieve or a complete pardong? Lol! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Greetings Jo
I'm looking forward to the cranberry sauce and all the trimmings. Happy Thanksgiving to you!
that slight glow is very flattering, i think.
So I guess I must "talk turkey" and admit I have run "afowl" of my bird identification!!!
Happy Thanksgiving, Sunny!
This one is going to hide in its comb or whatever that floppy thing on its head is called.
Oh Sunny, the only reason I knew is that I have both here on the farm. The guineas are 'the lawyers' of the bunch. They get in the faces of all the fowl before they chase them down, then do it again to make sure they know who's boss. They have a wild streak and can't be tamed, whereas the turkeys are my favorite bird. So sweet and inquisitive; I'm embarassed to say I do eat a store bought one every Thanksgiving, but I would never eat one of my birds.
